Meet Our Therapists

Brittany Pollentier, MPT, DPT

Therapeutic Pain Specialist

Owner

Brittany is dedicated to helping patients move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University. She treats patients of all ages, with advanced training in orthopedics and a special focus on low back, neck, hip, and knee pain, as well as post–total hip and knee replacement rehabilitation.

Brittany has pursued extensive post-graduate education through the The Institute of Physical Art, refining her hands-on manual therapy skills to address the root cause of dysfunction. She is highly trained in Dry Needling and is a certified provider of the Graston Technique, integrating these advanced techniques into comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. She is also certified in the Schroth Method for conservative management of scoliosis and kyphosis and has specialized training in chronic pain management.

Brittany works closely with patients recovering from workers’ compensation injuries and performs Functional Capacity Evaluations to support safe return-to-work decisions. Her treatment philosophy combines expert manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and personalized home exercise programs to deliver lasting, meaningful results.

Outside the clinic, Brittany is a nationally competitive bowler and coaches junior athletes, bringing the same focus and dedication to her patients as she does to her sport.

Kate Langfeldt, DPT

Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists

Kate is passionate about helping patients move with confidence and return to work, sport, and daily life without limitation. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.

Kate has extensive experience treating occupational injuries and guiding patients safely back to work. In 2016, she completed a post-doctorate fellowship through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, gaining advanced expertise in identifying movement dysfunctions, muscle imbalances, and joint restrictions. Her comprehensive approach combines skilled manual therapy to restore mobility with neuromuscular re-education to improve movement patterns, posture, function, and pain reduction.

She is certified in the Schroth Method for conservative management of scoliosis and kyphosis, has advanced training in Dry Needling for trigger point release, and is a vestibular rehabilitation specialist trained in the treatment of vertigo, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), dizziness, and fall prevention. Kate treats both adults and children.

Outside the clinic, Kate continues her passion for volleyball. A former four-year athlete at UW–Whitewater, she helped lead her team to a National Championship in 2005 and earned All-American honors. She now coaches private and small-group lessons in the Madison area and competes in tournaments nationwide.

Michael Griggs, PT, DPT, OCS

Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists

Michael Griggs is a Doctor of Physical Therapy dedicated to helping patients of all ages move better and live with less pain. As a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), Michael has achieved the highest level of training in manual therapy and orthopedic care.

Michael specializes in navigating complex diagnoses that require a highly nuanced approach. He has extensive clinical experience treating hypermobility syndromes (hEDS/HSD), Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS), in addition to general orthopedic and chronic pain conditions. He believes in looking at the whole person—not just the symptoms—using evidence-based techniques to treat the root cause of dysfunction.

Michael also has a unique interest in the performing arts. As a musician, former competitive swimmer, and father to a competitive Irish dancer, he loves helping musicians, dancers, and aquatic athletes return to their sport and the stage.

Beyond the clinic, Michael is committed to serving his profession and currently acts as the Secretary for the APTA Wisconsin Southwest District.

When he isn’t treating patients, Michael enjoys hiking with his family, exploring Wisconsin, and sailing Lake Mendota—that is, if he isn't stuck all day at a Feis.

Staci Burkard, PT

Staci is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, restore movement, and return to their prior level of function. She earned her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1993 and brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to her practice.

Throughout her career, Staci has focused on treating injured workers and athletes, using ergonomic and sport-specific assessments to guide safe return-to-work and return-to-play programs. She has extensive training in manual therapy techniques through University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She treats patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and integrates a wide range of advanced techniques including craniosacral therapy, primitive reflex integration, and visceral mobilization.

Staci’s treatment philosophy centers on identifying the root cause of dysfunction and addressing it with skilled manual therapy followed by targeted neuromuscular re-education. Her individualized treatment plans are designed to reduce joint, muscle, and fascial restrictions while improving flexibility, strength, range of motion, and overall function.

Outside the clinic, Staci enjoys spending time with

her children, traveling, reading, and practicing yoga.

Matt Kuik, PT, DPT, OCS

Matt is passionate about helping patients recover from orthopedic and sports-related injuries so they can return to the activities they enjoy most. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2022 and completed a post-doctoral residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Mayo Clinic in 2023. He is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Matt’s clinical interests focus on orthopedic and sports medicine conditions, combining advanced manual therapy skills with evidence-based rehabilitation to restore strength, mobility, and performance.

In addition to his clinical work, Matt is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Investigation at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research examines biomechanical and clinical risk factors for hip pain development and explores strategies to optimize outcomes following hip surgery—bringing the latest research directly into patient care.

Outside the clinic, Matt and his wife, Megan, are avid runners who competed in the 2025 Boston Marathon. They enjoy exploring Wisconsin State Parks, cycling Madison’s bike paths, and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams.

Andrea Mysliwiec, PT, DPT, GCS

Andrea is dedicated to helping older adults maintain mobility, independence, and confidence through every stage of life. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in 2015 and completed a post-doctoral residency in geriatrics through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2016. She is a Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS).

Andrea’s clinical experience spans outpatient care, senior living communities, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. She treats a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and dementia. She has a special passion for fall prevention and uses evidence-based, individualized treatment plans to help patients stay active, safe, and independent.

Originally from La Crosse, Andrea fell in love with Madison while completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and later returned to build her career and home here. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking and biking, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with a good movie alongside her husband, cat, and dog.
